One of the objectives of the Fellowship Centre, as registered under the Societies Act with the Province of Alberta, is: to provide recovery-oriented social activities in a safe and welcoming environment. A Social Committee is a group of individuals who come together to organize social activities with the goal of enhancing social interaction, fostering a sense of community, and boosting morale.
If you have word processing skills, organizational skills, at least one year of recovery, love books, and are eager to carry the recovery message of hope, consider serving the recovery community by volunteering to be the Fellowship Library Assistant. This includes tasks such as itemizing books, labelling material as it is donated, maintaining a detailed list of Library holdings, encouraging people to both donate and borrow Fellowship Library books and audio-visual material.
The Fellowship Centre has a monthly publication called the Recovery Compass. Articles in the Recovery Compass are directed towards supporting addiction recovery. Currently monthly circulation is approximately one hundred. If you have word processing skills, organizational skills, writing skills, at least one year of recovery, and are eager to carry the message of hope, please consider serving the recovery community by volunteering to be the Recovery Compass Editorial Assistant.
The Fellowship Centre has had a Facebook Page <facebook.com/SEFellowshipcentre> since October 2023. There are currently 70 Facebook followers. If you are comfortable with Facebook and have organizational skills, writing skills, at least one year of recovery, and are eager to carry the recovery message of hope, please consider serving the recovery community by volunteering to be the Facebook Assistant Manager.
